International Runner Insurance

 

As an ITRA member you have the opportunity to purchase ITRA International Runner Insurance, in partnership with ASSURINCO and MUTUAIDE ASSISTANCE.

Suitable for training and competition activities (see detailed list below).

Activities include: running, trail-running, hiking, trekking, road and mountain biking, cross-country skiing and snowshoe hiking.

Mountaineering, rock climbing, ski touring and downhill skiing are NOT included.

The insurance guarantees a worldwide coverage for rescue, repatriation, and medical care expenses (including helicopter rescue) during your sport activities.

Annual insurance cost: 49€ per year

 

WORLDWIDE ASSISTANCE & MEDICAL CARE

If an accident occurs during training or racing, the insurance will cover search and rescue expenses including:

  • Helicopter rescue and evacuation expenses

  • Ambulance costs

  • Transportation costs to the hospital

The insurer also covers and organizes:

  • Your repatriation to your home* if you are abroad or your medical transportation to a medical centre close to your home (*in your country of residence)

  • The repatriation of the persons accompanying you, including children under 18

The insurance will pay for:

  • Medical expenses incurred up to 15,000 € in your country and up to 150,000 € outside your country of residence

  • Transport of another person (family or friend) who will visit you in the event of hospitalization

  • Additional transportation fees (for you and your family) in case of an early return

  • A replacement driver if you are ill or injured and no one can drive your vehicle
